How collaboration works — anonymised example
This example shows the real course of a project: from a short technical questionnaire to a verifiable draft of an offer — without prices and without naming any company.
1 · Technical questionnaire
Before a retrofit or a new line we first collect the facts that decide the design: material, existing tooling, scope and acceptance criteria.
Example questionnaire (shortened)
- Which alloy and strip thickness do you actually use (e.g. EN AW 3xxx)? Does the thickness include the paint coat?
- Is the line to keep today's slat width or switch to a new one — or must both remain possible?
- Scope: forming rollers, hook matrix, rubber profiles, guides — or a complete overhaul?
- Do you have drawings of the existing tool set (2D/3D)? Can you send them before the call?
- Will you provide physical strip samples with the supplier's data?
- Acceptance: which tolerances and surface criteria must the test slat meet?
- Training language, target lead time, warranty period, RAL colours?
2 · Verifiable draft instead of a guessed offer
From your answers we prepare a structured draft — position by position. Prices are set only from the confirmed price list for the final configuration.
| Pos. | Item | Qty | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Forming roller set for the new strip width | 1 | design from your drawings / existing set |
| 2 | Hook matrix for the new slat | 1 | new centre position — from the geometry |
| 3 | Rubber / sealing profiles | set | per drawing |
| 4 | Guides and sliders | set | keep existing where possible |
| 5 | Renewal of the existing cutting tool | 1 | only if retained width is required |
| 6 | Test slat production | 1 | acceptance sample before series |
3 · After handover: documentation and a short survey
You receive documentation, FAT evidence and a short satisfaction survey. 4–5 stars: we would welcome a public review. 1–3: we want the private feedback to improve.
This example is anonymised and contains no prices. A draft is not a binding offer; the final offer is confirmed by a responsible SKOVELA person.
